“I am overwhelmed with the repeating words, resounding in my mind like a trumpeting horn, ‘not my will, but Yours be done.’ I’m increasingly concerned with the people of God, their leaders (not just pastors, but leaders, teachers, praise team members, etc.) especially, not being led by God in the NOW....”
“Can you imagine what would happen in this world we live in if every woman.... let's say 12 and older.... was given this Bible as a gift? Women are world-changers. Look at Ruth: because she was selfless she gave birth to the lineage of King David. Look at Esther: she saved God's people by being courageous. When King Josiah had questions, who did he go to? Huldah, that's who! I could go on and on. With a Bible in the hands of every woman on this planet, lives would be saved and nations would turn their eyes toward God. How do I know this?”
🗣So, this month is kind of a big deal...at least for me it is - the blog’s birthday 🎂, my birthday 🎉... And, I want it to be for you, too! So, these are things I want to give🎁away just because I really appreciate those of you that have gone on this journey with me:
Adenomyosis. What the heck is that? That was my first thought. I mean...being 39, at this point, I feel like most of us have heard of endometriosis. But...adenomyosis?
By page 10, I was choked up because Jensen reminds even the youngest of minds that Easter is all about what Christ did and how He gives us "a brand-new start."
“There’s just so much darkness going on in the world,” says Loche. “Every day you read the worst, most horrific news you can imagine. We want to just be a blip of good, a blip of light in a dark world, to atheists and to Christians.”
Understanding the Bible can be challenging at best and discouraging at the worst. It's frustrating when you want to know more about God, be a better person, have a better life, and yet you can't understand the manual. If you feel that way - or know someone that may feel that way - this post is for you!
I believe we all need the anointing of the Holy Spirit. When Christ left this earth and ascended into Heaven He said that He was leaving us a comforter. If Christ left me something, or someone as it were, I'm going to follow that - since my whole life is based on following Him and being as much like Him as humanly possible - by receiving whomever or whatever that thing may be! We know that whom Christ left us was the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17).
